somewhere on our myspace page i referred to our second album as campfire music for warped little scouts. i can imagine this song could be sung around a campfire except this time it's a sexy campfire with shayne surrounded by The Ladys ! i can just picture the video! anna, hannah, rebekah and kelly all sing on this song and although they all have very different voices i like how they've all melded into one kind of Super Lady and you can't really pick out the one individual singer. the whole challenge of this song was to make every element laidback but still convincing at the same time. we eventually got there. i really like kelly's flute - it's kind of girly and totally right for the song..
lyrics
and you're too far gone to care
your shoes hardly have hit the ground
been connecting all the sets
getting all that you can get
yeah you've really put the hammer down
best you keep moving
if you stop then it just makes an empty sound
if you're set to straight ahead
you don't have to turn around
yeah you're too far gone for that
you're too far gone to...
do you really find it so easy ?
does it all just fall all about you ?
do you wander through without seeing ?
or in a quiet moment do you know ?
all the questions you can only ask yourself
you know alone
when the earth stops moving
and it's orbit of you has slown down
when the wheel stops turning
you'll be too far gone to care
too far gone to care
and you wouldn't wanna turn around

I regularly walk around Las Vegas listening to this and when I have downtime at work have also been reading about The Dead People (Shayne has) Known. He has come such a long way and grown so immensely over his long career. I'm really enjoying this album a lot. It has a a lot of feeling and soul to it. Even the photo on the cover has a homey sort of feel to it. Well done. Wendy

I've been enjoying the Bats since Daddy's Highway. They keep doing what they do and I keep enjoying what they do. What else can I say? Bat's entertainment? tideracer
